What does the charity do?

 

We welcome all ages from the local and surrounding communties who want to join the band and play or

learn to play a brass instrument at very low cost. We can provide free instrument rental and tuition and guidance to

improve playing in a brass band context. We allow under 18s to use our instruments at school as long as they 

are a member of the band. We set up learner/training bands when needed to allow beginners to join as well as those 

that can already play. We strive to improve the playing of everyone in the band. We play at local events, hold our

own free to the public concerts and play at private events, reaching a large number of the local community.

We are keen to make sure that children and young people in particular, do not miss out on the opportunity to learn to 

play an instrument due to cost and availability of tuition.
